Burberry Perfume
Burberry perfume is one of the leading and most loved brands of perfumes across the world. The fragrance of Burberry Perfume has an unmistakable novelty to it, which is quite rich and divinely sexy. When a woman wears it, the rich fragrance adds to her sex appeal and makes her extremely desirable and attractive.
The word “Perfume” comes from the Latin words, “Per” which means “through” and “fumus” which means “smoke”. This obviously does not sound romantic and rightfully so, because ‘perfume’ initially did not pertain to the delicate whiff of a flower or fragrant oils but it rather meant an “odoriferous smoke released from a burning substance.” This substance was supposedly made of incense or herbs which were burnt for curative purposes. With changing times, the word “perfume” came to be associated with the delightful fragrance or scent produced by flowers or essential oils.
Perfumes originated thousands of years ago and found their way into the ancient civilizations of Egyptians, Persians, Greeks and Romans. The perfume was held in high regard even in Biblical times. One can find the mention of the three wise men in the New Testament. They had paid visit to infant Jesus with gifts of gold, myrrh and frankincense.
Burberry, as a leading style brand, has always endeavored to release some of the best brands of perfumes the world has ever worn. Burberry was founded in 1856 when a young lad all of 21, Thomas Burberry, a former apprentice to a country draper, opened an outfitters shop in Basingstoke, Hampshire, England. Within a span of 20 years Burberry thrived and became known as an “emporium” which dealt in outdoor wear and sportswear for residents in the town. In 1879, Thomas Burberry himself invented the famous fabric “gabardine”, which is water-resistant and durable. A patent was given for the achievement in 1888. Thereafter there was no looking back as Burberry diversified into different product lines with numerous shops and outlets for Burberry opening in London, Paris, New York and other places across the world. Hailed as an enduring style icon for ages, Burberry launched Burberry Touch, the new fragrance for men and women in 2000, which became an instant rage.
